The Juvenile Court Program administered by the New Rochelle Office for Youth is entering its 36th year of operation.
He has trained over three hundred (300) students in all aspects of the criminal justice system and court procedures, enabling them to serve as judges, prosecutors, and defense attorneys in cases that bypass Westchester County Family Court.
The Juvenile Court is a collaborative effort that includes the New Rochelle Youth Office, the New Rochelle Bar Association, the New Rochelle Police Department, the Pelham Police Department, and Westchester County.
Probation Department: Its purpose is to provide the necessary supervision to first-time offenders ages 7-17 who have committed crimes such as theft, loitering, stalking, vandalism, burglary, disorderly conduct, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of fireworks.
Applications are now being accepted for the Juvenile Court Program. Interested resident youth in grades 8-10 can learn more or obtain an application online at www.newrochelleny.com/youth or by contacting the Youth Office at (914) 654-2045, 8:30 a.m. A.M. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. All completed applications are due on or before November 10, 2022.
