Former Thomas Edision State University President George A. Pruitt is invited as keynote speaker

On February 16, Grandpas United of the White Plains Youth Bureau welcomes guest speaker Dr. George A. Pruitt, former president of Thomas Edison State University, Trenton, NJ at its upcoming Coffee with Grandpas event.

Tuesday, February 21 at 9:30 a.m. Dr. Pruitt, author of the new book “From Protest to the President” will share his experience as a young activist traveling between Mississippi and Chicago during the 1960s and 1970s.

Dr. Pruitt served as president of Thomas Edison State University for 35 years.

During his tenure, his steadfast activism, integrity and courage led to pioneering work in providing access to higher education for working adults.
