The Mount Kisco community held its Hispanic Heritage Month Commemoration Event on Sunday, October 9, outside the Mount Kisco City Hall and Library, organized by the Latino Legacy and the Italian Club of Northern Westchester.

“It is the first time that I support as a councilor to spread Hispanic roots and unite our community,” said Councilwoman Karina Patiño, during the event. “This is a family and community thing where we all came together to prepare for this event,” she said.

Traders and shoppers enjoyed the festival.

The festival has been held annually since 2017, through Legado Latino, an entity created by the Patiño family. Gloria and Ángel Patiño, husband and wife of Ecuadorian origin who are the first to establish Hispanic businesses in Mount Kisco. Its businesses are Continental Multiservices and D & J Express.
