Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah announced that 67-year-old Riverside, Connecticut resident Majid Hedayati has been charged with taking upskirt photographs of an unsuspecting female passenger while riding Metro-North. railroad.

Hedayati was indicted by a Westchester County Grand Jury for Unlawful Surveillance in the Second Degree, a felony. The defendant was arraigned in Westchester County court on October 31, 2022.

On September 23, 2021, at approximately 11:27 p.m. m., the defendant allegedly used his cell phone to photograph up the victim’s skirt as he sat across from her on a Metro-North train traveling to Harrison from Grand Central Station. The victim’s friend, who was sitting directly next to the defendant, confronted him and reported him to a driver.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police arrested the defendant on October 13, 2021 at Grand Central Station following an investigation.

The case is before Judge Susan Cacace in the Westchester County Court, and is being prosecuted by the head of the Sex Crimes Bureau, Wendy Parra, of the Special Prosecutions Division.

The charges against the defendant are merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
