December is the most magical time of the year and in this 2022 after returning from a festive break due to the pandemic, the show returns that not only children enjoy, but also adults.

The cities that make up Westchester County, as in most regions of the United States, scheduled a series of activities, some free and others with a small contribution to help foundations and people in need.

In White Plains, New Rochelle, Rye, Yonkers, Mount Vernon, among others, since last November 25 the festive celebration has been held for five consecutive weeks until January 1, 2023.

In white plains

At the New Year’s Eve celebration, Saturday, December 31, 2022 will see the spectacular New Year’s Eve in White Plains.

To say goodbye to the old year and receive the new year on Main St. @ Court St., from Saturday at 10.30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 1, 2023, with countdown, attendees will be able to appreciate the annual ball drop in the heart of downtown with confetti, fireworks, live music from “Just the Melody Band”, Top 40, Latin Pop, Boy Bands and 90’s nostalgia, standards and classics like Motown, Jazz and Disco, all with powerful voices and energetic dances.

The organization of the event has said that access will be only by private entrances: Main Street and Church Street Renaissance Square at William Street Martine Avenue at Mamaroneck Avenue Court Street at Martine Avenue (ADA access).

In New Rochelle

On Tuesday, December 27, New Rochelle residents will be able to arrive at the Ossie Davis Theater in traditional African garb to celebrate Kwanzaa with dance, music and other live performances. Everyone will receive light refreshments.

In Rye

From the 3rd of December to the 31st of the same month, including the 24th, there is another opportunity to say goodbye to 2022 and celebrate the arrival of the New Year in the Rye Free Reading Room, with crafts, snacks and a countdown to 12 at noon with the theme of 2023. This party is a great option for kids who want to celebrate but aren’t quite ready to stay up until midnight just yet.

This grand Christmas light display returns to Kensico Dam Plaza bigger and better than ever with thousands more lights, magical holiday animations and a live Santa Claus. The event is open through January 1, 2023, on select nights starting at 6 p.m. m. Monday through Friday and at 5 p.m. m. weekends

  • Heineken USA (based in White Plains, NY) has partnered with the City of White Plains on its New Year’s program, Safe Travels, and encourages everyone 21 and older to celebrate responsibly this holiday season.
  • Heineken is offering free Uber rides redeemable for up to $100 within a maximum 20-mile radius around White Plains between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. m. on New Year’s Eve.
  • Free Uber rides will be available to the first 200 participants, simply scan the QR code to receive your unique code and redeem your ride. The QR code can be scanned at each gate entrance.[/tab][/tabs]
